| Stylish Silicon Valley guys and gals must snack and sip---and here's a place that encourages those activities. The cocktails are distinctive and delightful, from the mango-mint margarita to the caipirinha naranja (a variation on the Brazilian national cocktail). We find the tapas, on the other hand, to be not quite up to par with what you'd find in any backstreet Barcelona café-bar, and certainly not what the menu descriptions imply. The entrées are a bit better, particularly if you're partial to seafood. Start with ceviche and move along to the Brazilian-infused seafood stew over rice, the seafood paella with its wealth of shellfish, or the fresh fish of the day. Carne asada is a departure from the norm; it includes roast pork loin and lamb sausage in addition to the traditional flatiron-seared steak. Bold colors and a frisky Latin soundtrack enhance the fun. The international wine list focuses on regions of Spain, Chile and Argentina. Service is a bit uneven. |
