Charlie's Steak House Restaurant Review: Locals have clamored for the limited number of tables at Charlie’s Steak House since the Great Depression --- you’ll wait in the bar or outside in the heat for up to an hour. Charlie's big attraction is your choice of an extra thick ten-ounce filet; a juicy 20- or 24-ounce T-bone; or “The Charlie,” a 32-ounce T-bone. Couple those with good au gratin potatoes and mushrooms bordelaise and you have made some New Orleans memories. You can also get a decent glass of red wine to go with your steak. Dessert means Italian ice creams, spumoni and biscotti from Angelo Brocato’s.
