Chase the Submarine

Chase the Submarine Restaurant Review:

Leave it to area super-chef Tim Ma, in conjunction with Michael Amouri and Joey Hernandez, to come up with yet another restaurant concept: a small eatery devoted to submarines, or, rather, the oversize sub sandwiches. Offerings are either hot or cold, but it would be hard to pass up the hot, rich belly banh mi, an American take on the Vietnamese staple, here made with Virginia ham, braised pork belly, aïoli and jalapeño oil. Chase the Submarine also features delicatessen meats and specialty food items, salads, wines and beers, plus weekly happy hours. Sadly, there are no desserts on the menu, but chances are the overstuffed rolls thwart a need for sweets. Kids have their own menu. Dogs are welcome on the outside porch.
