: A predominantly English clientele frequents this turreted manor house whose bright, elegant dining room looks out on a pretty garden. Truffles, foie gras, and duck confits take first place in Jean-Louis Lainé's repertory, but he also knows what to do with the vegetables and herbs from his kitchen garden to produce fresh, savory, dishes with rustic accents. Well-balanced cellar.
