| Warmly decorated and comfortable, the interior of this chain restaurant provides a relaxing place to enjoy healthful Chinese cuisine at reasonable prices, although consistency is an issue. We like the hot appetizers for sharing, including the salt-and-pepper calamari and the soft-shell crabs. The cold noodles with hot sesame sauce make a lively counterpoint to more mild dishes, adding another dimension to a meal. While much of the menu is typical of Chinese American fare, with lots of kung pao this and that and moo shu (name your filling), chef's specials include such unusual items as Taiwanese chicken (a casserole with vegetables in a hot pot).
