THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Citizen Kitchen Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: Tucked inside The Hotel Fullerton, this casual restaurant’s open dining area affords a view of the property’s guest-fueled bustle. The compact bar has its own separate room, allowing patrons to disappear from the traffic as they imbibe craft cocktails.

Likes: Truly eclectic dining options.
Dislikes: Dining space could be a little larger.

Food & Drinks: While the venue contains the physical properties of a hotel restaurant, executive chef Zach Geerson and his crew make sure the global cuisine offered transcends its surroundings. There are plenty of approachable, deftly prepared items for the road-weary traveler or vacationing family to enjoy, such as burgers, pizzas, salads, and mains of grilled beef striploin and herb-crusted salmon. The menu shines when it pushes boundaries in ways unexpected for a hotel joint, as in the fork-tender grilled Spanish octopus with white bean hummus and piquillo pepper rouille or the smoked beef tongue with chermoula sauce, saffron couscous and pickled green onion. Desserts like the blackberry goat cheese cheesecake and the amaro chocolate pie also give the palate a gently progressive nudge. A small list of wines and beers complements the cocktails. On weekends, diners can drop by and choose from innovative brunch options like country fried pork belly or a deconstructed salmon Benedict.
