THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED City Cafe Diner Restaurant Review: Like its siblings, this casual dining spot has a menu that runs breakfast 'round the clock, and (given the Greek ownership) features Greek specials. Steve Theodorakis owns and operates this one with all the commitment and passion of a high-end restaurateur. The moussaka is made with beef, and tastes fresh and homemade, although we'd still prefer the marriage of its traditional cinnamon nuance with lamb. Everything is done in huge portions. Daily specials are excellent. We recently sampled a pasta dish with a creamy seafood sauce and found the seafood singularly fresh tasting and not overcooked. Desserts are made off-premise, but are tasty and come in mega portions, inviting sharing. Popular items here include Country Griddle, a dish that layers home-fried potatoes, eggs, cheese and white country-style gravy. There's even a fajita omelet. The house breakfast special comes with everything---pancakes, bacon, sausage and eggs. No alcohol. We predict nearby Emory University students will make this one their home away from home.
