City View Tavern Restaurant Review:
If you have a "Burger Bucket List," this east side Mt. Adams neighborhood tavern is an ideal place to get a taste of the action. The bar takes center stage in the main area. There's even a jukebox. Outside, the deck is outfitted with small tables and folding chairs, and on a clear day, the view is spectacular. The signature dish is The Big Ted Deluxe. It's a peppery, six-ounce, hand-formed patty, griddle-cooked and served with American cheese, brown mustard, ketchup, onion, mayo, lettuce and tomato, and sandwiched on a white bakery bun. You can get a side of locally made potato chips: plain Husman's or Grippo's BBQ. Even Bloody Mary connoisseurs are satisfied with the barkeep's signature drink (complete with a salt-rimmed presentation and sometimes even a pickled green bean). Or just wash a burger down with a beer. There are a couple of vegetarian options, too, the most notable of which is grilled cheese. Service is quick.
