| CreoLa flies in ingredients a couple times a week from the Big Easy, which helps to make it the real deal. Posters of New Orleans in the small narrow room are the background for some tasty food. We favor the greaseless and flavorful crayfish hush puppies, the corn fritters encasing tender crayfish tails served with a rémoulade sauce and the addictive Cajun popcorn (cornmeal-battered crayfish tails served with a satiny sherry-tomato aïoli). Rarely seen in the Bay Area, the alligator piccata is just okay. Don’t miss the soft-shell crab dishes paired with crayfish etouffée. Finish your dinner with sturdy New Orleans-style bread pudding. |
