| Proprietor Paul Pinnell, chef Joel Harloff and wine director Rudy Mikula have designed a global cuisine menu to satisfy a wine connoisseur. A platter of distinctive artisanal cheeses makes room for balsamic figs, fresh berries and assorted breads. Pan-seared quail with caramelized spring onions, goat cheese polenta and jalapeño jam or plump scallops with sunchoke and hearts of palm salad and orange butter may also kick off the meal. Entrées range from pan-seared halibut served with blood orange fregola sarda, celery and zucchini sauté (resembling spaghetti) and Champagne-dill pan sauce to grilled NY strip accompanied by earthy mushrooms, Reggiano whipped fingerlings and Cabernet demi-glace. Hope to end with the chef special espresso cheesecake but if it’s not an option, there’s always the molten chocolate tart paired with a cup of dark Italian roast coffee. |
