Great Wine List* Click here for rating key
| There’s a "wow" factor when you walk into this seafooder. Situated in a historic building, the chocolate and blue space is accented with 15-foot-high ceilings and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, making it feel posh and inviting (for all). Parents with children will get a kick out of the fish-shaped kids’ menu, which offers up fried shrimp and mini-burgers. Adults, on the other hand, must contend with lobster mac ‘n’ cheese and the bucket filled with steamed lobster, mussels, clams and crab. Not to be ignored are the daily specials, perhaps blue crab and bay shrimp-stuffed Atlantic salmon with lemon beurre blanc. More low-key grub comes in the form of a New Orleans-style po’ boy sandwich---filled with shrimp, oysters and catfish---as well as gumbo. The extensive wine list emphasizes aromatic whites, Champagnes, Syrah-Shiraz blends and a nice selection of half bottles. For dessert, the chocolate lava cake is a must. Those who want to sample single malt scotches or sip a martini should check out the hip, urban-vibe lounge. There's live jazz on Wednesday and Saturday nights as well as a DJ on Saturday evenings after 10 p.m. |
