| Part wine bar, part restaurant, the scene at Dexter’s Lake Mary is hip and fun, with colorful local art, sleek marble and wood tables and a chic glass wine case lending an urban vibe. A younger crowd gathers late night for the specialty cocktails and wide variety of wines, but the scene is considerably less rowdy earlier in the evening. The menu changes seasonally, and at lunch you’ll find eclectic choices like a tzatziki lamb burger and a Carolina barbecue shrimp wrap. For dinner, pistachio-crusted grouper and apple wood bacon-wrapped filet are standout entrées. Pair your meal with a glass or bottle of wine from the extensive, ever-changing collection. Dexter’s is known for its Sunday brunch; start your week on the right note with shrimp and grits and a peach mimosa, as good as it sounds. |
