Doca's Restaurant Restaurant Review:
The sky blue and white-washed façade and nautical themed setting at Doca’s is in keeping with its appellation, meaning “dock” in Portuguese. Wall-to-wall murals set against a backdrop of stucco terra cotta and decorative flags extend the relaxed, airy ambience indicative of a local seaside restaurant. Large portions of Portuguese fare include home-style fish, seafood and meat, reinforcing the place’s reputation for serving straightforward and authentic cooking. Highlights include the grilled pescado “a la chorrellana,” a filet topped with a savory onion sauce and accompanied by potatoes and rice. Among specialties is a steak served with french fries, plantain, fried egg and rice. Dessert might be a poached pear in port wine with cinnamon. Sangría along with South American, Portuguese and Spanish wines pair well with the menu.
