Donnie's Country Cookin' Restaurant Review: Donnie Kim, a native of Korea, established five restaurants in the metro Atlanta area, all cooking Southern food. The daily menu features at least five meat and fish choices, fresh vegetables and at least three desserts. A three-vegetable plate and a meat-and-two plate with bread and beverage are each under $6. Best bets are herbed baked chicken, fried whiting and barbecued pork. Mashed spuds are fresh, but the green beans could use a little more seasoning. Mac 'n' cheese has an exaggerated golden color but a comfort-food flavor. Desserts include banana pudding. Breakfast plates range from meat and eggs to fresh biscuits and buttered grits.
