Good Times Country Home Cookin' Restaurant Review:

Donnie Kim, a native of Korea, established five restaurants in the metro Atlanta area, all named Donnie's Country Cookin' and all offering Southern food. He sold all but one, and this one has changed its name to Good Times Country Home Cookin'. The daily menu features at least five meat and fish choices, fresh vegetables and dessert. The country-fried steak is a good bet, but it's served with rice, although you can get mashed potatoes as one of your two sides and skip the rice. We liked the fresh cabbage. A three-vegetable plate and a meat-and-two plate with bread and beverage are each under $6, with tax and a drink $7. Consider the herbed baked chicken, fried whiting and barbecued pork, too. Desserts are limited to banana pudding. Breakfast plates range from meat and eggs to pancakes, fresh biscuits and buttered grits. Service is friendly. Closes early.
