| With an aqua-colored drawing of a guy surfboarding, Doug---who looks nothing like a surfer, more like a chef---stands at the truck’s doorway greeting customers. Affable and talented, Doug is carving out a little niche in the DC food-truck world, for his food is a bit flamboyant---think Caribbean roasted pork over cabana rice with a mango sauce---but also mainstream American, as in the garden wrap with a special sauce. In hot weather, Doug offers Hershey’s ice cream. And office workers can pick up drinks to go. Doug will even deliver, if you cannot leave your desk. Good food, inventive flavors. |
