THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Driftwood Room Restaurant Review:

It was only a matter of time before “Chopped” judge Alex Guarnaschelli joined the Miami dining circuit, and now it has happened with Driftwood Room. Tucked away at the cool Nautilus, A Sixty Hotel, the restaurant offers a beachside setting (we recommend sitting outside). Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily, and menu items range from grapefruit brûlée and True Loaf bakery monkey bread french toast for early morning, to Florida shrimp a la plancha with salsa verde for a power lunch. There are oysters with sherry vinaigrette, roasted white cauliflower steak, and côte de boeuf for two for a hefty and leisurely dinner. An emphasis is put on using local produce, with the yield of farms such as Swank, Teena's Pride and Paradise gracing several dishes and even cocktails. Equal importance is placed on grilled items, with options including Gulf shrimp, branzino, St. Barth-style ribs and cedar plank salmon. Donut devotees will relish the passion fruit variety with vanilla bean custard, while chocoholics can get their fix with the flourless hazelnut and chocolate tart topped with salted caramel.
