Echo & Rig Butcher and Steakhouse Restaurant Review

: At the entrance, a glass meat locker provides a view into the butcher shop, where packaged meats are wrapped in blue butcher paper with twine and a wax seal. The restaurant on the second level features floor-to-ceiling windows and a patio with views of the trendy Tivoli Village center, an open kitchen, marble flooring and a bright and comfortable ambience. Not-to-be-missed starters include grilled octopus with gigante beans, garlic and green olive vinaigrette; portobello fries with herb aïoli; an “Over the Rainbow” salad with faro, quinoa, corn, asparagus, herbs and Champagne vinaigrette; and fried cauliflower with chili de arbol and crispy shallots. Natural USDA Prime and grass-fed beef comes in cuts of tri-tip, hanger, flat-iron, rib-eye, skirt, Spencer, New York strip, Wyoming Wagyu and filet mignon. They are cooked over red oak and served with homemade garlic chips and mushroom Rockefeller. Non-carnivores will appreciate the butternut and burrata ravioli with roasted hazelnuts, Parmesan and warm stracciatella sauce. Approximately 28 wines are served by the half-glass, allowing you to design your own wine tasting, and several craft beer choices include locally brewed Big Dog’s Dirty Dog IPA. Finish with the shared-for-two, turtle-style sundae with salted caramel ice cream and candied peanuts.
