El Corral Restaurant Review:

For more than 50 years, El Corral, a former home to a wealthy rancher, has staked a claim on beef. The rustic dining venue continues to please both locals and visitors, who choose from several cuts of prime rib or the juicy bone-in rib-eye or filet mignon, both of which are available topped with a blue cheese sauce. We also recommend the fork-tender baby-back ribs. For a lighter appetite, there’s salmon, chicken or an entrée salad, such as the Caesar. For a side go for the tamale pie, moist cornbread that's bolstered by chiles, cheese and corn nibs. All dinners also come with a salad --- opt for the house-made honey-Italian dressing, which guarantees that your server prepares the salad tableside with fresh mushrooms, sunflower seeds, croutons and cheese. Dinner wouldn’t be complete without the adobe mud pie. Note that waits can be long during winter months, and El Corral doesn’t take reservations.
