This Maryland eatery has put Mexican fast food on a different footing, raising the flavors and options a few notches. It offers an entire vegetarian menu and there’s a menu in Spanish and English. Those menus feature some tempting fare like the cheese- and calorie-dense Sunken Burrito, which is a meat-filled (chicken or beef) burrito submerged in a bath of salsa and melted cheese. From there, you can eat your way through chimichangas, chiles rellenos, fajitas, tamales and that all-American favorite, the chili dog. As an added bonus, you can request hotter seasonings, whole-wheat tortillas or black beans. The counter service is so speedy you won’t even have time to find a seat.
