The late, great mama Ninfa Laurenzo has gone to that great cantina in the sky, but her memory lives on---not at Ninfa's, but at El Tiempo. She sold her namesake restaurant chain to an Austin conglomerate before her passing, but her children took up the torch with this worthy tribute. El Tiempo is lively, and the outdoor patio is extra nice, even if the din of the Katy Freeway is constant. As is tradition, Tex-Mex is the order of the day. The best flour tortillas in town wrap around tender, juicy fajitas, and the guacamole is made tableside for dinner and a show.
