Despite its location in the middle of the ’burbs, this place is awash with history and charm. Housed in a nineteenth-century building, the place stands out with its creaky wooden floors, original brick walls and hunting-lodge décor, which includes a massive chandelier crafted from deer antlers. The menu features American classics as well as a few unique creations. Start with the peel-n-eat firecracker shrimp or stuffed mushroom caps. For an entrée, try the “beer”becue pork rib, fish ‘n’ chips or marinated tri-tip sandwich, and wash it down with a house-made brew. More refined meat and pasta dishes are also available, as well as several entrée salads.
