Elm Restaurant Restaurant Review: Awash in white, Elm has an airy and serene atmosphere. The seasonal, eclectic American menus --- à la carte and a chef’s tasting --- are characterized by meticulous preparation. Salads like the chioggia beets with Sicilian pistachios, burrata and Mandarins are as colorful as an artist's palette while melding complementary flavors. Consider, too, the chilled kusshi oyster and the Santa Barbara sea urchin crudo. Pastas choices may include English pea sachetti with lemon brown butter and Parmigiano, and agnolotti dal plin of Millstone pork with hazelnuts and Fontina. Desserts recall the warm and comforting flavors of a country kitchen with salty chocolate s'mores made with vanilla fluff, graham cracker crumbs and chocolate ice cream. Even the cocktail menu is tailored to the seasons.
