Located at Rockville Town Square, this quirky eatery offers a lunchtime menu of soups, including French onion with loads of cheese; salads; and tartines, or sandwiches comprising sliced bread topped with meats and vegetables. The balsamic eggplant version delivers puréed eggplant on toast anointed with cheese, roasted peppers and avocados. Starters include charcuterie and cheeses, with dinner appetizers also proposing tarte flambé and duck confit. Evening entrées are robust, from beef bourguignon to roasted half chicken. Adding to the appeal are a kids’ menu and a happy hour, when beverages range from cocktails to wines and draft beers.
