F. Scott's Restaurant & Jazz Bar Restaurant Review: F. Scott’s is still known for a good wine list and live jazz, but the menu has been spruced up with a New Southern twist. If you want to know what Tennessee tastes like, there’s an appetizer for that here --- braised local brisket wrapped with East Tennessee-cured Benton’s bacon, barbecue sauce made with GooGoo Clusters (a beloved local candy), a Jack Daniels glaze, grits and pickled tomatoes. For an entrée, there’s rabbit two ways with roast fingerling potatoes and sautéed tatsoi, a spoon-shaped Asian green. The restaurant has a deep wine cellar, with more than 300 wines, depending on the timing, and many half-bottles for solo diners. The list lingers over regions and grapes most Nashville restaurants tend to bypass, and it offers an entire section of Spanish reds. Desserts change seasonally, and there’s usually a showcase of local fruit to enjoy.
