Fabiani's Restaurant Review: Lorenzo and Michelle Fabiani opened Fabiani’s and filled a niche in Kihei: classic Italian American comfort cuisine combined with a bakery. The dining room is contemporary and always bustling. Have breakfast of fresh pastries or bagels and espresso from the bakery and coffee bar, or sit down for more filling fare like mimosas and Italian loco moco or eggs Benedict. Thin-crust brick-oven pizza is a specialty --- handmade dough topped with house-made sauces and toppings; ask for a gluten-free version, too. Appetizers include carpaccio, minestrone, garlic bread and bruschetta. Panini, burgers, salads and pastas round out the menu. All desserts are fresh-made; the macaroons are popular. The bakery also makes seasonal items like strawberry mousse cake sold whole or by the slice.
