| Located in the constantly humming Penn Quarter, the DC Finn & Porter offers patrons several interesting menu venues: steak, seafood and some outrageous sushi creations, including the Bomb Roll, the Finn Roll, and the Amigo Roll with jalapeño slices. The sushi and its various iterations are made fresh in the upfront and freestanding sushi bar, where a phalanx of chefs wields knives for freshly cut fish. But the menu extends into the area of American classics: lobster and chips, jumbo lump crab cake sandwich, and braised lamb shanks are just several examples of the all-American fare. Try a roast chicken half with the requisite side of mashed potatoes and green beans, and the standout cheesecake, garnished with raspberry coulis and a candied violet.
