| You might imagine that you are in the middle of nowhere as you drive to The Westin Imagine---but you’re only a street away from the convention center and bustling International Drive. The hotel is a quiet oasis for business travelers who prefer a little distance from the congestion of Orlando’s tourist center, and stylish Fiorella’s Cucina Toscana is a comfortable spot for dining without leaving the hotel. Chef Robert Mason oversees the kitchen, and his earnest cooking stays true to the restaurant’s Tuscan theme. If you start with the generous antipasto with prosciutto and melon, fresh mozzarella, grilled artichokes, salamis and cheeses, you may only have room to share a thin-crust pizza---we enjoy the Toscana with prosciutto, kalamata olives, goat cheese, truffle oil and arugula. You might order wild rice risotto, lobster ravioli and chicken with prosciutto, olives, capers and lemon---it’s a fun menu to mix, match and share. Vibrant blown-glass art decorates the honey-toned walls, and arched ceilings and acacia wood tabletops create a warm, friendly ambience. The solid wine list includes old-world selections from Italy and new-world tastes from California, Australia and emerging wine regions, most offered by the glass. On perfect Florida days, request a table on the adjoining covered patio. |
