Fire + Ice Restaurant Review: Fire + Ice is a do-it-yourselfer’s dream, centered around a choose-your-own-ingredients bar and an “improvisational grill.” The bright room is decked out in all hard, gleaming surfaces and contrasting primary colors, creating a festive air for the office klatches and co-eds who line up at the eight-foot grill with their bounty --- chicken breast, pork sausages, tender sirloin, fish (salmon, shrimp, calamari) and tofu. Pick your protein first before heading over to a massive salad bar filled with vegetables like green beans, zucchini, black beans, yellow squash, onions, peppers and corn on the cob. There are ten different sauces to choose from, including pomodoro, sweet chili and our favorite, fajita. Both kids and adults like watching the grill chefs frying it all up, while the servers bring over rice and tortillas. The results are as mixed as the tastes of the customers. |
