THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Fish 54 Restaurant Review: From the owners of Mezzanotte and Carpaccio, Fish 54 is a concept restaurant marrying seafood to disco. It doesn't make much sense, but true to Mezzanotte form, the place is noisy, self-conscious and the food is fine. Easygoing seaside Italian dishes are casually dressed in garlicky marinades, fresh herbs and tart vinaigrettes and there are also fuss-free pastas. The calamari fritti are exceptional. Management is warm and doting; they really want you to have a good time. The enormous bar dominating the bulk of the restaurant is strangely desolate.
