Florentine's Downtown Grill Restaurant Review: Sitting right at the corner of Harbor Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue, Florentine’s Downtown Grill stands out as a rather cosmopolitan two-story restaurant. Proprietors Joe and Robin Florentine make sure to provide guests with a connection to the past with their European décor: dark wood floors, original brick walls, colorful tapestries and elegant rugs. Regulars hang out at the 55-foot wood bar to enjoy wine or a cocktail. The menu ranges from generously portioned Italian food to eclectic American fare, such as crab cakes, beef stroganoff, entrée salads and chicken tenders for the kids. There’s also a sizable list of burger and sandwich options. Friday and Saturday evenings bring the thick-cut prime rib dinner, which is served with mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and horseradish sauce. |
