The Candler Park location is the company's original spot, and its popularity has never waned. Locals pour in for chicken sausage or huge organic oatmeal pancakes, although these seem a bit heavy. The smoked salmon scramble seems less argumentative. The namesake biscuits appear smaller than they once were, but we like them better. Their exterior crispness seems more Southern, while their height is more like a Northern biscuit. Breakfast is served all day long, but lunch and dinner also are offered---look for the signature turkey meatloaf, served with a side of "pudge," another signature item (mashed potatoes blended with sun-dried tomatoes), and the black bean “love” cakes with tomatillo salsa. No matter what time of day, the scene is as eclectic as the neighborhood. Weekend waits for brunch are guaranteed. The company's bakery is adjacent to this location, making it terribly tempting to take home extra baked items for later snacking.
