The menu changes seasonally. Choices at lunch might include gazpacho or a penne plate with sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, a chiffonade of fresh spinach tossed in a Dijon vinaigrette and topped with sliced chicken breast. For sturdier fare, options include pan-seared trout with pumpkin seed butter, potato gratin and fresh corn succotash; cornmeal-crusted oysters; crab cakes; and Arctic char. Try the sweet potato biscuits, a house favorite. Among inventive desserts are chocolate cashew cookies, citron tarts and wine cake. Service is efficient and very friendly.
