Germaine's Luau Restaurant Review: Noted most for its talented dancers, Germaine's provides a music and dance tour that features Samoa, Tahiti, New Zealand and Hawaii. The performance that will really get the blood pumping is the famed Samoan Fire Knife dance which roughly translates as the "tooth of death" from the original Samoan. Feasting has not been neglected either as you will choose from a vast array of traditional fare such as kalua pig, poi and haupia (coconut pudding) as well as Hawaiian grilled chicken and breaded fish filets. The luau begins around 6 p.m. with an imu ceremony to unveil the pig that’s been cooking in the underground oven. Next up are the cultural opening ceremony and some pre-show activities, followed by the buffet, hula lessons and the Polynesian entertainment. A full bar is available (three drink coupons are provided to adults over 21) and complimentary soft drinks, coffee and iced tea are included with the luau package.
