If it ain't broke, don't fix it---that's the unspoken motto here, as after two decades of serving among the top number of covers nationwide, Gibby's dishes a reliable menu of grill house steak and seafood dishes the same as always. Several wood-paneled rooms with large, leafy trees haven't changed a whit either, and they still divide what might be a huge area into smaller, cozier sections. Meals always start with a huge bowl of salad served family-style, with a basket of home-baked breads. Steaks and seafood reign, served extravagantly large and generally luscious, though there is a staid, touristy aspect to the dinners. Desserts are made on-site---best are strawberry shortcake and chocolate éclair. Entrée prices range from $16-$31, but twilight dinner specials are available for $17.95 on weeknights, two dollars more on weekends.
