Giorno Caffe Restaurant Review: Every neighborhood needs a dependable and affordable Italian restaurant, and Giorno Caffè fills that bill for the area surrounding Mall of the Americas. Formerly Oggi Café, Giorno is not associated with that previously well-known eatery, but has maintained the same chef and same menu of fresh salads, warm breads, homemade pastas and dependable renditions of chicken, seafood and veal dishes---all at hard-to-beat prices. Pastas still reign supreme, the fettuccine, agnolotti, spaghetti and penne prepared on the premises and flawlessly cooked. The room is tastefully decked in red brick and mahogany, white-linen and fresh flowers adorning each table; a dividing wall with domed fenestrae separates the dining room from a handsome bar area. Giorno has kept up Oggi's reputation for freshness and consistency, which is all you can ask for from a neighborhood joint. |
