Ristorante Firenze Restaurant Review

: Restaurateur Tommaso Grasso imports a taste of Tuscany to Greenwich in a thoroughly modern yet accessible space. The dining room highlights Tuscan and Mediterranean wine, cuisine and traditions within what feels like a contemporary loft. An open kitchen surrounded by temperature-regulated wine storage as a backdrop, gleaming white tables, black seats and Italian design elements set the scene for a menu that emphasizes simple preparations using natural ingredients. Select a combination of charcuterie and cheeses from choices including prosciutto di Parma, bresaola, salame, Parmigiano, Taleggio and Pecorino Toscano to pair with the homemade bread. An inventive antipasto of broccoli and ricotta flan is creamy and delicate. Rigatoni tossed in a hearty lamb ragù stands out among the fresh pasta selections. Entrées include a flaky and moist black bass with zucchini, potatoes and sun-dried tomatoes. The wine list boasts varietals spanning the regions of Italy including Tuscany, Piedmonte, Veneto and Umbria.
