This popular establishment still serves up traditional, hearty plate lunches. No frills, just the archetypal meat or fish, two scoops of rice and macaroni salad. The teriyaki beef (sauce on the rice) is a classic. But the food is almost secondary. Go sit in a Naugahyde and Formica booth with your plate stacked high, dig in with your plastic fork and watch people on their lunch break.
