A classy, contemporary logo over an antique glass-paneled door marks this stylishly designed restaurant at the end of a strip shopping center. Architectural antiques dot the warmly lit interior, and a pianist tinkles classic, familiar tunes at the grand piano on weekends. The cooking is not cutting edge, but it's reliable and a bit adventurous, with fresh, comforting flavors. The calamari makes a fine starter, and fish dishes always are a good bet. Most desserts come from outside producers, but the crème brûlée is made in house. The wine list reflects owner David Reardon's personal preference for red wines and needs upgrading in the white wine department, but this audience seems to be heavily tilted toward red-wine drinkers. The Private Stash wine list focuses on high-end California wines. For anyone in west Cobb County who doesn't want to travel to Buckhead, this is a good local alternative. Prime rib on Friday and Saturday is a new addition that seems to have hit a high note.
