Green Bamboo Restaurant Review: Even though it's located in the suburbs, Green Bamboo offers Vietnamese cuisine just as authentic as the restaurants in Memphis’ inner-city Little Vietnam. Low lighting and bamboo wood décor contribute to a classy ambience. The menu features pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, with more than ten varieties available. The pho ga, a white chicken noodle soup, is appropriate when you’re feeling a little under the weather, and the bun bo hue, sliced beef in an aromatic broth, is good any day. Vegetarian selections include a curry tofu and a spicy lemon grass tofu dish cooked with onions, among others. There’s even a kids’ menu with such offerings as chicken fried rice and beef noodle soup. All desserts are made in-house, including the fresh mango pie. The small wine list offers labels from California, Italy, Chile and Australia.
