| Chef Rafael Palomino, the restaurateur who brought us Sonora and Pacifico, presents an American menu worthy of the chef’s reputation. The warm and mellow beige tones and living room-style setting in the bar and lounge, along with a softly lit dining area with colorful murals decorating the walls, create an intimate and convivial atmosphere. Begin with the Hawaiian yellowfin tuna and avocado tartare---the creaminess of the avocado blends nicely with the tartare, while the acidity of the vinaigrette sharpens the natural flavors of the yellowfin. The seared magret duck breast with sweet potato purée and dried cherries in a pomegranate reduction combines autumnal flavors while the herb-crusted rack of lamb holds a hint of spice. A crisp New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for the former and a dry California Cabernet for the latter make ideal accompaniments. |
