The Grill at Hunter Ranch Restaurant Review: Golfers already know “Hunter Ranch,” but the course’s restaurant has its own gallery of fans as well. The menu is far beyond the usual golf course fare, and includes daily specials such as a chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, shrimp empanadas, and slow-roasted prime rib on Thursdays. Among our favorites on the regular menu are the avocado egg rolls with a sweet-and-sour tamarind dipping sauce, the huevos rancheros, and anything with the sweet and spicy glazed “Kelly’s bacon,” especially the Da Vinci grilled chicken sandwich. The generous brunch is especially popular, and The Grill's wine list embraces its location in Paso’s wine country, plus there’s draft beer available, too. Desserts are pretty basic, but the chocolate lava cake will deliver a good dose to your sweet tooth. Seating options either inside or on the wraparound deck offer views of the golf course and the surrounding vineyards. |
