| Hunter Ranch Golf Course is a destination in itself, but The Grill restaurant is almost as big of a draw, especially on Sundays for the generous brunch spread. Those in the know go for anything on the wide-ranging menu served with “Kelly’s bacon,” such as the club Benedict for breakfast or the Da Vinci chicken sandwich for lunch. There are also daily specials such as a crab cake salad, prime rib Philly sandwich and Italian wedding soup. Throughout most of the year, The Grill stays open for dinner Thursday through Saturday with entrées like seared sea scallops and rib-eye steak, and desserts such as lemon meringue. Local wines are always teed up (there’s a featured winery of the month), and several draft beers are also available, as is free WiFi. Sit inside the remodeled restaurant or out on the wraparound deck; both options offer views of the golf course and the surrounding vineyards. |
