Gringo's Taqueria Restaurant Review: Gringo’s Taqueria is one of the happiest little eateries you’ll ever find for Baja-style fish tacos, pineapple chicken or pork burritos (hot with habaneros) and a carne asada burrito, a 12-inch flour tortilla with grilled marinated flank steak, peppers, onions, cheese, salsa, black beans and rice. A seemingly endless cornucopia of bold, bright tomatoes, avocados and seasonal fruits blend in with the sunny atmosphere, outfitted with a low-rise counter and four tables (a couple more spill out into the hallway shared with other businesses). Beers from south-of-the-border and heavy-handed pours of wines (including some organics) wash down the Tex-Mex fare along with scratch-made margaritas. For dessert, there’s a fresh fruit bowl as well as refreshing smoothies accented with lime and honey and tiramisu made in-house. |
