| This Gaithersburg microbrewery is probably good news for locals, who are treated to such flavors as the Growlers Delight and Gaithersburg’s Golden, plus others made on and off the premises. These hearty brews match the menu’s hearty fare: brew house chili, Growlers chili mac, a cornmeal-crusted rainbow trout sandwich, and surf ‘n’ turf pesto pizza, to name a few. Try the a big, juicy burger---with cheese, natch---that comes with a heap of fries, or the something lighter like the grilled steak salad sprinkled with crushed peppercorns. The mac ‘n’ cheese bites appetizer captures all the verve of this childhood comfort food. Desserts are a little more imaginative, with bread pudding, crème caramel with berries, a root beer float, and a sinful brownie with cocoa and caramel sauces among the contenders. |
