This Gaithersburg microbrewery treats patrons to such flavors as the Growlers Delight and Gaithersburg’s Golden, plus others made on and off the premises. These hearty brews match the menu’s hearty fare: brew house chili, Growlers chili mac, a cornmeal-crusted rainbow trout sandwich, and surf ‘n’ turf pesto pizza, to name a few. Try the big, juicy burger with cheese that comes with a heap of fries, or something lighter like the grilled steak salad sprinkled with crushed peppercorns. The mac ‘n’ cheese bites appetizer captures all the verve of this childhood comfort food. Choose from flat-iron steak, fish and chips, and shrimp and grits, too. Desserts are a little more imaginative, with bread pudding, homemade fresh fruit cobblers and a brownie sundae.
