Hakkasan Restaurant Review:

Hakkasan Dubai, located at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, boasts an entrance appropriate for a restaurant of this caliber: a sparkling LED lit wall with the Hakkasan logo greets guests followed by a floating walkway over a water feature surrounded by greenery. On one side of the space is a living wall of lush plants, while on the other is the wood pavilion bearing oak latticework. Beyond the heavy dark wood paneled doors is the main dining room, complete with a lounge named Ling Ling. The menu features classic dishes from the London location, along with special items created specifically for the UAE. Possibilities range from an advance-order menu with Peking duck and Royal Beluga caviar to small eats like the Hakka steamed dim sum platter. For starters, there’s jasmine tea-smoked Wagyu beef short ribs with a rich brown sauce. Black truffle roasted duck is one of Hakkasan’s signature selections --- a combination of Cantonese flavors along with the earthy aroma of black truffle layered against the crispy duck skin. Desserts are constantly changing, with new and innovative pastries, ice creams and tarts. The nicely executed Hakkamisu served with coffee ice cream is an Asian interpretation of a traditional Italian sweet. Ling Ling is one of the highlights at Hakkasan, and in turn the cocktails and wine lists are noteworthy. One of the more popular drinks is the Saketini, a medley of cucumber, lime, saké, Hendrick’s gin and Belvedere vodka. The lounge and bar are popular on the weekends, frequented by both UAE residents and visitors.
