 The Half Shell Restaurant Restaurant Review: The Half Shell Restaurant offers an extensive menu of reasonably priced seafood in a casual setting. Try the Gulf Coast amberjack, jumbo cocktail claws or char-grilled king prawns. Hungry patrons get their fill on “The Fat Boy,” a seasoned po’ boy piled high with blackened shrimp, fried crawfish tails and crispy oysters. For those who’d prefer turf over surf, there’s always a New York strip steak or chicken Marsala. Desserts include an Oreo pie with meringue and whipped cream and a brownie sundae à la mode. Typical mainstream wine selections are available at reasonable prices. Weekend brunch features all the usual breakfast dishes plus New Orleans favorites. The bar stays open every night until 3 a.m. for those who cannot get enough of the place. |
