Reasonably priced seafood, flown in daily for the restaurant's signature dishes, served in a casual atmosphere defines The Half Shell Restaurant. Come for mahi mahi rolled in Greek seasoning or the Southern-style crab cake platter. New York strip steaks, chicken, and pan-blackened tuna are served with the Half Shell's spicy voodoo shrimp stuffing. Hungry patrons get their fill on the Fat Boy, a seasoned po’ boy piled high with blackened shrimp, fried crawfish tails and crispy oysters. Desserts include an Oreo pie with meringue and whipped cream and a brownie sundae à la mode. Typical mainstream wine selections are offered at reasonable prices. The Half Shell’s weekend brunch features all the usual breakfast dishes plus New Orleans favorites. The bar stays open every night until 3 a.m. for those who cannot get enough of the place.
