The Hamilton Restaurant Review: The Hamilton, part of Clyde’s Restaurant Group, has a swanky, almost-1930s setting with its elegant booths, dark wood interiors, plush carpeting and paneled walls, seemingly endless dining halls and handsome bars, and entertainment theater. As always, Clyde’s shines with its attention to details, but the draw is the menu of contemporary American fare. Imagine a breakfast of prosciutto and poached eggs sandwich, a lunch of lobster roll or grilled fish tacos, and dinner of flatiron steak poutine or grilled Atlantic salmon --- and so much more, including sushi, an array of luscious desserts, and brunch. The classic Clyde’s burger takes on a new image with The Hamilton burger, topped with bacon, egg and Vermont cheddar. But this particular venue offers something unique in downtown DC: an almost round-the-clock food and beverage service and a nightclub setting downstairs. In addition, The Hamilton presents entertainment --- even gospel singers. But breakfast time finds the crowds --- from tourists to Congressmen --- trickling in for that morning cup of coffee and order of eggs and bacon.
