Rancho Santa Margarita resident and restaurateur David Hanna (who also owns Haute Caffè) opened this lunch and dinner spot to meet this area’s need for more fine dining restaurants. Located in the heart of RSM across from the city hall, Hanna’s attracts the area’s power players as well as locals who come here for dinner after a long commute. The menu is rather eclectic as Hanna tries to satisfy a hunger for California tastes, which run the gamut from Asian to European to American influences. For example, appetizers range from a classic shrimp cocktail to lobster spring rolls to sliders with cheddar and smoked bacon. Entrées are all over the board, too, with five kinds of Prime steaks, several fresh seafood dishes, a lobster dinner, baby-back ribs, gourmet burgers, entrée salads and pasta dishes.
