Hapa Grill Restaurant Review: It’s the friendly faces, reasonable prices and flavorful offerings that keep the area locals and the occasional enlightened tourist from nearby Ko’Olina Resort coming back to this casual Kapolei eatery. The contemporary island coffee shop is comfortable and inviting and offers a menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner selections that include banana pancakes, grilled portobello mushroom sandwiches, mochiko chicken (a house favorite) and macadamia nut-crusted mahi mahi. If you're craving Hawaiian plate lunch fare, don't miss the teriyaki beef which reached legendary status throughout the nearly 30 years the owner's parents ran the Sassy Kassy Lunch Wagon. The recipe is a fine balance of sweet and savory made with high quality beef. Hapa Grill is very family-friendly and boasts a first-rate keiki (kids’) menu, too. |
