Hearth Pizza Tavern Restaurant Review: Hearth Pizza Tavern buzzes with children and families enjoying the wood-oven baked pizzas that exhibit crisp, chewy crusts topped with quality ingredients. Share an order of fried calamari to start, tender bites accompanied by a light but intensely flavored tomato sauce and a lemon-coriander aïoli. Among the pies, we like the Great White Clam with its roasted cremini mushrooms and house-made fennel sausage. Lots of garlic, too. But that helps it go well with the DaVinci Chianti from the fairly basic wine list, most of which is offered by the glass. For dessert, go for the donut "holes" paired with the vanilla bean ice cream from local artisan ice cream maker Morelli's. Besides the pizze, check out the panini, burgers and flatbreads.
