THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hedi's Cafe Paris Restaurant Review:
A tiny room heavy with curtains, Hedi’s Café Paris feels as if it could have been moved brick by brick from Montmartre. Chef-owner Hedi Hamrouni, a Tunisian native who trained in Switzerland and France, offers a Parisian bistro menu with a leavening of influences from the Maghreb and he’s a master of subtle seasonings and spices. His roasted quail with Coachella Valley date risotto is rich in savory and sweet flavors, while the rabbit is tender and creamy. Also on the menu is a Moroccan feast that includes four kinds of couscouses, tagines and the classic Moroccan pie b’stilla (Hamrouni’s pride), made here with chicken rather than the traditional pigeon. The cozy atmosphere often results in friendly table-to-table conversations.
